Good guys plumbing Co. Terms & Conditions

Good Guys Plumbing Co.

Effective Date: September 15, 2026

Thank you for choosing Good starts with clear expectations.

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to plumbing, diagnostic, repair, replacement,

installation, maintenance, inspection, drain, sewer, gas piping, and related services

provided by Good Guys Plumbing Co. (“Good Guys,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By approving an estimate, proposal, work order, or change order; providing electronic or

written authorization; or otherwise authorizing Good Guys to begin work, the customer

(“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) agrees to these Terms.

1. Estimates & Scope of Work

The scope of work and price for your project will be described in the estimate, proposal,

work order, or other service documentation provided by Good Guys.

Unless otherwise stated, an estimate is based on the conditions reasonably visible or

known at the time of inspection. Plumbing systems often contain concealed, buried,

inaccessible, deteriorated, or previously modified components that cannot be fully

evaluated before work begins.

An estimate does not include additional work made necessary by concealed or

unforeseen conditions unless specifically stated.

Estimates may expire after the period shown on the estimate and may be revised due to

changes in material costs, equipment availability, permit requirements, project conditions,

or Customer-requested changes.

2. Authorization to Perform Work

Approval of an estimate or work order authorizes Good Guys to:

• Perform the work described in the approved scope;

• Obtain reasonable access to the portions of the property necessary to complete

that work;

• Shut off or restore water, gas, electrical power, fixtures, appliances, or related

systems when reasonably necessary; and• Take other reasonable steps ordinarily required to safely complete the authorized

service.

Good Guys will not intentionally perform material work outside the approved scope

without additional Customer authorization, except when immediate action is reasonably

necessary to protect persons or property from an unsafe condition.

3. Changes & Additional Work

Conditions discovered after work begins may require the scope of work to change.

Examples include concealed leaks, corroded piping, failed valves, improper prior

installations, damaged fittings, code deficiencies, structural obstructions, inaccessible

piping, collapsed or damaged drains, unsuitable connections, or additional repairs

necessary to safely complete the original work.

When additional work is recommended, Good Guys will make reasonable efforts to

explain the condition, provide additional pricing, and obtain Customer authorization

before proceeding.

Authorization of additional work may be provided electronically, verbally, in writing, or

through an approved change order where legally permitted.

4. Pricing & Payment

Payment is due upon completion of the applicable service unless different payment terms

are stated in writing.

Charges may include labor, materials, equipment, diagnostic services, service or dispatch

fees, permits, inspections, specialty equipment, disposal, subcontractors, and other costs

associated with the authorized work.

Deposits or progress payments may be required for larger projects, special-order

equipment, or multi-day work.

The Customer agrees to pay all authorized charges.

Returned payments, chargebacks made without a legitimate billing dispute, past-due

accounts, or collection activity may be subject to reasonable fees and costs to the extent

permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms waives any payment, collection, lien, or other rights available to

either party under applicable law.

5. Customer ResponsibilitiesThe Customer agrees to:

• Provide accurate information regarding the property and the known condition of

its plumbing systems;

• Provide safe and reasonable access to the work area;

• Remove or protect valuables, furniture, electronics, personal belongings, and other

items near the work area;

• Inform Good Guys of known hazards or unusual conditions;

• Secure pets and ensure children and other occupants remain safely away from

active work areas; and

• Provide access to necessary utilities when required to complete or test the work.

Unless otherwise agreed, the Customer is responsible for obtaining approval from

landlords, property owners, condominium or homeowners associations, property

managers, or other persons whose authorization may be required.

The person approving the work represents that they have authority to authorize services

at the property.

6. Concealed, Pre-Existing & Unforeseen Conditions

Good Guys is responsible for the work we perform. We are not responsible for conditions

that existed before our work or that could not reasonably have been discovered before

the authorized service began.

These conditions may include, without limitation:

• Corrosion or deteriorated piping;

• Improper or non-code-compliant prior work;

• Hidden leaks or water damage;

• Defective valves, fittings, fixtures, appliances, or equipment;

• Aging or brittle piping;

• Root intrusion;

• Broken, offset, bellied, or collapsed sewer piping;

• Underground or concealed utilities;• Structural defects or obstructions;

• Mold, asbestos, lead, contaminated materials, or other hazardous substances;

• Excessive water pressure;

• Water-quality-related deterioration; and

• Failures elsewhere in the plumbing system.

If servicing one portion of an older or deteriorated system reveals or contributes to the

failure of another pre-existing component, Good Guys will explain the condition and

recommend appropriate next steps.

7. Access Through Finished Surfaces

Plumbing systems are frequently located behind or beneath finished surfaces.

The Customer authorizes reasonable access through drywall, plaster, tile, flooring,

ceilings, cabinetry, countertops, concrete, landscaping, or other materials when such

access is reasonably required to complete authorized work.

Good Guys will make reasonable efforts to minimize unnecessary disturbance.

Unless specifically included in the approved scope, plumbing work does not include

cosmetic or finish restoration such as:

• Drywall finishing;

• Painting;

• Tile replacement;

• Flooring repair;

• Cabinetry or countertop repair;

• Concrete finishing;

• Landscaping;

• Carpentry; or

• Other decorative restoration.

Any opening or access point created by Good Guys will be left in a reasonably safe

condition.8. Existing Plumbing Systems

Repairing or replacing one component of a plumbing system does not guarantee the

condition or future performance of the remainder of the system.

Older plumbing systems may contain components of similar age or condition that remain

susceptible to future failure.

Good Guys may recommend broader replacement or corrective work where we believe

repairing an isolated component is unlikely to provide a dependable long-term solution.

The Customer may decline such recommendations unless the remaining condition

prevents Good Guys from safely performing the authorized work.

9. Drain & Sewer Services

Drain and sewer stoppages may be symptoms of larger conditions, including grease

accumulation, foreign objects, root intrusion, damaged piping, improper slope, offsets,

bellies, deterioration, or partial collapse.

Drain cleaning clears an obstruction; it does not necessarily correct the underlying

condition that caused it.

Unless specifically stated in writing, Good Guys does not guarantee that a drain or sewer

line will remain free from future stoppages after cleaning.

Camera inspections, hydro-jetting, excavation, pipe lining, repair, or replacement may be

recommended when appropriate.

Video inspection is diagnostic in nature and represents the visible condition of the

accessible piping at the time of inspection. It does not guarantee that every defect within

a drainage system can be identified.

10. Customer-Supplied Fixtures & Equipment

Good Guys may install Customer-supplied fixtures, faucets, appliances, equipment, or

materials when agreed to in advance.

Good Guys does not warrant Customer-supplied products and is not responsible for:

• Manufacturing defects;

• Incorrect or missing parts;

• Product incompatibility;

• Shipping damage;• Product performance;

• Manufacturer warranty claims; or

• Additional labor caused by a defective or incorrect product.

Labor required to remove, reinstall, modify, or replace Customer-supplied products may

be separately chargeable.

11. Materials & Product Substitutions

Good Guys may use professional-grade materials that are reasonably appropriate for the

installation.

When a specified product or material becomes unavailable, discontinued, delayed, or

impractical to obtain, Good Guys may recommend a reasonably comparable alternative.

Material substitutions that materially affect price, appearance, or functionality will be

communicated to the Customer when reasonably practical.

12. Permits, Codes & Inspections

Good Guys will obtain permits and inspections when required and when responsibility for

doing so falls within our agreed scope of work.

Permit fees and inspection fees may be included in the estimate or billed separately as

indicated in the applicable service documentation.

Good Guys will perform authorized work in accordance with applicable requirements

governing that work.

Existing portions of a property that are outside the approved scope may not comply with

current codes or standards. Good Guys is not responsible for correcting unrelated

existing deficiencies unless those corrections are included in the authorized scope or are

required in order for our work to lawfully proceed.

Inspection schedules, utility approvals, permit processing, and governmental

requirements may affect project timing and are outside Good Guys’ direct control.

13. Workmanship WarrantyGood Guys stands behind our work.

The specific workmanship warranty applicable to a repair or installation, if any, will be

stated on the invoice, estimate, proposal, or separate warranty documentation.

Any manufacturer warranty applicable to fixtures, equipment, or materials is provided by

the manufacturer and is subject to that manufacturer's terms.

Unless otherwise stated in writing, warranty coverage does not apply to failures caused

by:

• Abuse, misuse, or neglect;

• Freezing;

• Foreign objects or improper materials introduced into a plumbing system;

• Chemical drain cleaners;

• Excessive or improper water pressure;

• Water quality or mineral conditions;

• Lack of required maintenance;

• Power surges or utility failures;

• Flooding, storms, lightning, freezing weather, or other events outside our control;

• Alteration or repair by another person after our work is completed;

• Customer-supplied equipment;

• Pre-existing or unrelated plumbing conditions; or

• Normal wear and tear.

Warranty service applies only to the work or materials specifically covered by the

applicable warranty.

14. Manufacturer Warranties

Where applicable, Good Guys may assist the Customer in identifying or submitting a

manufacturer warranty claim as a courtesy.

Unless expressly included in writing, manufacturer warranty coverage does not

automatically include Good Guys’ labor, diagnostic time, travel, shipping, removal, or

reinstallation costs.15. Water Shutoffs & System Testing

Plumbing work may require water or gas service to be shut off and subsequently restored.

When systems are repressurized or returned to service, previously deteriorated

components elsewhere in the system may begin leaking or fail.

Good Guys is not responsible for the failure of unrelated pre-existing components simply

because the condition becomes apparent during or after normal shutdown, startup,

draining, filling, testing, or repressurization procedures.

16. Property Protection & Water Damage

Good Guys will exercise reasonable care while working in and around the property.

The Customer agrees to promptly report any concern relating to our work and to take

reasonable steps to prevent additional damage.

Good Guys is not responsible for damage caused by pre-existing leaks, concealed

defects, deterioration, failed Customer-owned equipment, natural events, or conditions

outside the scope of our work, except to the extent responsibility may not lawfully be

excluded.

17. Hazardous or Unsafe Conditions

Good Guys may suspend, stop, or decline work where our technicians reasonably believe

a condition is unsafe.

Examples may include:

• Suspected asbestos or hazardous materials;

• Mold or significant biological contamination;

• Sewage contamination;

• Structural instability;

• Unsafe electrical conditions;

• Gas hazards;

• Inadequate working space;

• Dangerous animals;• Threatening or abusive conduct; or

• Conditions that create an unreasonable risk to employees, customers, or property.

Specialized remediation, testing, repair, or other corrective work may be required before

plumbing work resumes.

Stopping work because of an unsafe condition does not constitute abandonment of the

project.

18. Scheduling & Project Timing

Appointment windows, anticipated completion dates, and project schedules are provided

in good faith.

Timing may be affected by emergencies, traffic, weather, inspections, permits, utility

companies, product availability, concealed conditions, change orders, staffing, or

circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Good Guys will make reasonable efforts to communicate material scheduling changes.

Unless expressly guaranteed in writing, projected dates are estimates rather than strict

completion deadlines.

19. Cancellations & Missed Appointments

Good Guys understands that plans change.

Cancellation, missed-appointment, special-order material, restocking, or trip charges may

apply when disclosed before the applicable service or purchase.

Custom or special-order materials may be non-refundable once ordered where permitted

by law.

20. Work by Others

Good Guys cannot warrant or assume responsibility for work performed, repaired,

altered, disconnected, reconnected, or modified by persons outside Good Guys.

If another contractor or person modifies our completed work, any applicable Good Guys

workmanship warranty may be affected to the extent the subsequent work caused or

contributed to the problem.

21. Photos, Video & Service DocumentationGood Guys may photograph or record plumbing systems, equipment, work areas, serial

numbers, existing conditions, and completed work for legitimate business purposes

including:

• Preparing estimates;

• Documenting existing conditions;

• Quality control;

• Warranty administration;

• Technician training;

• Insurance documentation; and

• Internal service records.

Good Guys will not intentionally publish photographs that identify the Customer, street

address, occupants, or private areas of the property for advertising or promotional use

without appropriate permission.

22. Electronic Documents & Signatures

The Customer agrees that estimates, approvals, invoices, change orders, warranty

documents, signatures, receipts, and other service records may be created or delivered

electronically.

Electronic approval or signature will have the same effect as written approval or signature

to the extent permitted by law.

23. Communications

By providing a telephone number or email address, the Customer authorizes Good Guys

to communicate regarding:

• Appointment scheduling;

• Technician arrival;

• Estimates;

• Work authorization;

• Project updates;

• Invoices and payment;• Warranty or service matters; and

• Other communications reasonably related to the Customer’s service.

Promotional communications, where used, will be subject to applicable law and available

opt-out requirements.

24. Right to Decline Service

Good Guys reserves the right to decline, suspend, or discontinue service when permitted

by law, including where:

• The requested work cannot be performed safely or legally;

• Required authorization cannot be obtained;

• Required payments have not been made;

• Site conditions materially differ from those represented;

• The Customer requests work that Good Guys believes is improper or unsafe;

• Required permits or inspections cannot be obtained; or

• Employees are subjected to threatening, discriminatory, abusive, or unsafe

conduct.

The Customer remains responsible for authorized work completed before service is

discontinued.

25. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Good Guys will not be liable for indirect,

incidental, exemplary, special, or consequential damages arising from conditions outside

our reasonable control, pre-existing conditions, concealed defects, or portions of a

plumbing system outside the authorized scope of work.

Good Guys does not waive responsibility for damages directly caused by our negligence

or other obligations that cannot legally be limited or waived.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to eliminate any non-waivable right or remedy

available to a Customer under Tennessee or federal law.

26. Opportunity to CorrectIf the Customer believes Good Guys’ workmanship is defective or incomplete, the

Customer agrees to notify Good Guys promptly and provide a reasonable opportunity for

us to inspect the condition and, when appropriate, correct covered workmanship before

another contractor performs corrective work.

Emergency action reasonably necessary to protect persons or property is not restricted

by this provision.

27. Disputes

Our preference is to solve problems directly.

Before initiating formal legal proceedings, the Customer and Good Guys agree to make a

good-faith effort to resolve disputes through direct communication and to provide each

party a reasonable opportunity to review the relevant facts.

This provision does not prevent either party from taking action necessary to preserve a

legal right, comply with a deadline, address an emergency, or pursue a remedy that

cannot legally be restricted.

28. Governing Law

These Terms and services provided by Good Guys are governed by the laws of the State

of Tennessee.

Any dispute will be handled in a court or venue having proper jurisdiction under applicable

law unless the parties separately agree in writing to another lawful dispute-resolution

procedure.

29. Severability

If any portion of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision

will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law and the remaining provisions will

continue in effect.

30. Entire Agreement

The applicable:

• Estimate;

• Proposal;

• Work order;• Change order;

• Invoice;

• Warranty documentation; and

• These Terms

collectively constitute the agreement between Good Guys and the Customer concerning

the authorized work.

Where a specific written term contained in an approved proposal, estimate, or change

order conflicts with these general Terms, the more specific written term will control for

that particular project.

No technician, employee, or representative may materially modify these Terms unless the

modification is documented and authorized by Good Guys.
